[Suggestion] 1 sg kit per game limit

+1 These Sg's are getting so hard with this new TeamRheas thing, and they can not be stopped when they have Spy, Miq, And Buffer. It is to op, and you Andrewkm wanted Sg to be the number 1 place to make money. Well TeamRheas is taking it all, and no one can win anymore. :/ This is My opinion.

 

I don't like the idea of the SG games being pay to win (pay to win doesn't guarantee you will win. But it usually gives you an op edge over the competition). If that's what Andrew wants though, then I feel he's definitely hit his mark.

 

I'd like to point out sg kits are handled by Essentials, no differently than /kit starter or /kit water.

 

I think this is wholly inaccurate. I believe andrew's stance has always been that this is an Economy Server first and the SG's a side thing, not the main attraction. He has incorporated it into the economy but it was never supposed to be "the number one place to make money."

 

Lol no, you want to know the way to beat my buffer? Get buffer! Kits being in a huge profit for Andrew and they make the games exciting! I love kits and anyone who uses them! I also want to point out I had 200 wins without a kit so it is very possible to be a high ranked player without them.

 

You buy kits to use them to your advantage the more you have the better of a chance of winning... stupidest thing I have heard all day lol

 

Personally I too get annoyed by these "1 hitting machines" but like original_jackson said, if you can beat them then join them, I have paid for my kits using ecodollars that I won in sg in the first place because like original_jackson I first played sg without any kits at all. After realizing the tremendous profit one could make off of sg if you win and get many kills I invested more money in kits and now sg is my primary way of making money. If you believe that it is unfair for someone to use multiple kits in one game then simply don't play. The point of kits is to give one the advantage and if that advantage is being invisible and being able to 1 shot people for 1:30 then so be it.

Let me begin with why i disagree with this idea, Andrew himself stated that kits are part of the economy and really the one hitting machines as you said can be killed [I have killed 3 of them] and it basically ruins the economy for some people having 1 sg kit per game. Secondly don't think this will solve the TeamRheas problem of us using a lot of kits since teams can share their kits

I spend hard earned money/eco dollars to buy those kits. Hell, i can use 10 at a time if i wanted to. I payed for them, i can use them whenever i want.

 

I can agree with you that the one hitting machines can be killed. Heck, anyone can be killed. But the chances of a skilled kit user losing to an equally skill non kit user are very slim. You said that you've killed 3 of them. That's not a very big number when it comes to the amount of other users you've probably killed. Not to mention, having the kits ruins the economy for those users who would like to play on equal footing. Having kits in general just unbalances the scales for this game. However, taking them away or limiting their use at this point is near impossible. That in turn, will lead me to leave this link here. I'd much rather see the topic in that link implemented than this one.

Tom to be honest there are only 3-5 people who actually use miq, spy, and buffer all at once. If you learn or find out who they are then simply don't play with them.
And on a side note, the "1 hit power" only lasts for 1:30 so if you're able to spot someone drinking buffer from a distance just run the opposite direction and hope that they run out. I too have killed people that have buffer simply by sneaking up on them or killing them with a bow.

 

The only reason I got buffer and spy and grenadier is to combat the people who use them together, it's actually pretty fun to use, and as Georgie said, just avoid us.

And tom, after searching your account you have only played 42 games, a large number of these we're before people even started doing this, you have around 10 games played in a week or so, so you haven't really observed this like me or Georgie who play 100s of games a week, it's not that hard to avoid these 5 people who use kits like this.

 

I know non-kit users who have only a very little problem against kit users - even users with many kits... The only one that is the hardest is Spy (simply because looking for details is harder for some people), and if you look for the particles, held weapon, and cape (some cases - some can see them, some can't; OptiFine thing, I think), as well as listening to steps and such, it isn't too bad.

However, for the original post of the suggestion, I am simply going to say -1 because having more than one kit adds more strategy, variety, and possibilities in SG. I do not play very often, but if I ever got into it, I would much rather seeing the variety, learning strategies, knowing my different opponents, etc. SG has to be fun, too, and with how different it is on ECC, I think it would be pretty dull if there weren't kits or they were very limited.

 

Of coure TeamRheas would say no, they like to be invisible, and 1 hit. 1 hitting machines is just plain dumb. Yes, like georgie0417 said they do give you a huge boost in the game, but not being able to play at all isn't fun either, and not everyone doesn have enough money to buy the kits.

 

Well I'm not in team rheas and like I said, it's very easy to just avoid the people who in fact use these kits together. If you really really want to avoid them just play on arenas 1, 5, 6, 7, and 8. Arenas 2-4 almost always have some kind of kit user because of the smaller map/ fast pace.
With the amount of SG arenas one cannot simply use the excuse that you can't make money or you can't play because like it or not there are many, many options for people when playing SG.
