Reason: I think it would be nice as a little birthday present from ecc and it will encourage users to use sportsbook/stocks which would bring more people into it. Lots of money is being taken out of the economy as it is, it couldn't hurt to add a small reward, only every 1 year.
Given that the minimum transaction amount is $10,000, this seems a bit cumbersome and perhaps not awarding enough.
well we can have it go directly to the balance of the player and @JamieSinn can just override the system and give 1k or something.
If that was the case, it would be better. But no "free money" suggestion has ever been taken. For good reasons.
eh.. I think the few hundred thousand a year this suggestion inserts isn't a problem. If anything rewarding people for playing sounds like a worthwhile investment.
+1 Edit: Just adding a little reason to my +1. Lotto alone gets rid of at least 100k+ a day (that may be a stretch but it still gets rid of more money that would be given).
-1 They already give the nstars away every day. Just being born on a random day of the year does not entitle us to extra game money.
That's one hell of a cynical view on this. Player retention is important for a minecraftserver. Just this small reward on your birthday can make a difference for some people. And thus it's a positive improvement. It has absolutely nothing to do with entitlement.
I dont see it inflating the economy, given the amount of money in the economy 1k once a year for active players will make no difference whatsoever. But I dont really think it is neccessary at all.
Darn Dorothy, you hard. But I give the idea a +0 because it simply isn't a sum that would make a difference either way and is therefore pretty pointless to implement. Yeah, sometimes a 1000 ecd would make a difference but the chance of that time being the 1/365 day a year that this matters is too slim to fuss about imo.
Thousands of ECD are being added into the economy by the hour due to star tools, I don't see any issue with 1k a year.
10 people with birthdays today, all been online within the last 6 months. This seems above average, but even taking at 10 a day you're looking at 10k a day, not all that much +1
