Suggestion: Well, I know I am gonna get objections from the mods, but I propose that when a player is scammed, the money in the scammers balance is transferred into that players balance if the user who scammed is found guilty. I understand this has been suggested in some way ebfore so hear me out. Say user A gets scammed 10, if user B(the scammer) is banned, his 10k or whatever he has at the time is transferred (if he has 20k, the 10k is sent to user A and user B keeps his other 10k).
Now, I'll take it to the complex levels.
User A is scammed 10, User C is scammed 30k, and user D is scammed 20k, however, user B (the scammer) spent 30k already on lottery. Well, user A Gets 5k, C gets 15k, and D gets 10k. (I used a 50% deduction because it was easiest! the more random amounts could be accounted for)
Now, let's go even further
Say user A is scammed 10k by user B, and he spends 8.5k on diamonds and 1.5k is kept, then 1.5k is given to user A and there is nothing else that can be done about it.
Now, let's talk about items, is user A pays 550k for a MSword to user B and is scammed, user B keeps the MSword and spends 200k on lotto, used A is given 350k (I assume mods cannot delete players items, so the thought of given the user a MSword and deleting the one the player had is not an option)

As you may have noticed, the system cannot give back all your money, but it is a way to get back some.

Reason: So many people have reduced time played or quit altogether because of scammers, I now as a resident being scammed 440k was such a tough loss, and now that total is up to 680k in donation features alone, it is quite saddening, if this simple change were to take place, players would not feel as cheated by these scammers, because, I for one, have not been relayed a single cent of what I have been scammed. I believe the current system of "Oh this player owes you 60k or 1 ecd Giftcard when/if they appeal" is not cutting it, again, me and countless others have been scammed with zero return, and this would help ease the pain of seeing those long hours of farming or mining or whatever go down the drain because someone is mean enough to scam.

Fine by me, I'm not trying to make a perfect system, if that happens like a certain case a few months ago, if it is not found out there are 2 accounts at work, then you get no money back, however, if it is found out player C was in on it, then that balance could be transfered.

 

Not trying to be mean but this makes no sense... Pretty sure if I pay someone 60k and they get banned for scamming, returning my 60k isn't adding money into the economy..... You're wrong.

 

Ya, I totally get your point but, just like floods, which provide good earth for plants to grow on, I guarantee every person who lost their house to that flood, would want it or something back.

 

There ways to get the economy back up, and having players quit because their hard earned money was scammed, is not a good thing.

 

If you can give someone money then you can take away. Read the post. Near the top I state the money is TAKEN from the scammer and GIVEN to the scammed player.

 

The "punishment" for bans isn't repaying the person, the punishment is the temp ban they receive, so since you" paid" the full amount, you do your tempban and are unbanned, or, if you only were transferred half the loss, the person would have to pay the half they still owe.

 

Well, seeing as game admins can now do ranks, if it is not too much extra work, they could, also, o do under and if only Andrew could do these it can't happen because that is simply to much to do, he is already busy enough.
