Minecraft Name: pilot3101 Suggestion: For there to be a plugin that you can do a command, and you can safely trade with players. Reason: So you can safely trade with other players and still get what you asked for. Any Other Information: So in this plugin, you would do a command such as "/trade (player name whom you are trading the item in your hand to) (price that you want to receive for that item you are selling)" Then the person you are selling the item to would do "/trade accept" or "/trade deny". Then the money would be taken out of the persons balance whom you are selling the item to. The blocks/item would then be taken out of the sellers inventory and given to the buyer. The money is then given to the seller. This allows for safer trading and much easier. I will give an example below. Sellers name: pilot3101 Buyers name: ClarinetPhoenix Scenario: Pilot3101 is selling an enchanted pickaxe with Eff5 Silk1 Unbreaking3. ClarinetPhoenix wants to buy this pickaxe. Pilot3101 says okay. They agree on a price, say $6000. Here is what you do. pilot3101: /trade clarinetphoenix 6000 ClarinetPhoenix: /trade accept This would take the item in pilot3101's hand upon doing the command and put it up for trade to ClarinetPhoenix. The money and item is traded and no scamming is done. This would also work the other way if ClarinetPhoenix did /trade deny, the transaction would end. Kind of how a tp request works. Link To This Plugin: I have a plugin that a person helped me create. Might want @JamieSinn to check out the parts that don't work. Right now, when the trade goes through, the item in the sellers hand is still in his hand and isn't taken away. But the item does successfully go to the buyer even with enchantments. Just that one mistake keeps happening.
There's many plugins that can do this, I suggested this but everyone just said to use trade signs. Some plugins out there can even handle money (ex. $10,000 trade for a max pick) Edit: did a quick search on Google and could not fins any plugins that work with 1.8
Still not needed. Trade plug-ins like these kill the experience of trading, and also lag the server. I think a moderator would suffice as a different option.
Some basic research will show this has been suggested many times and the answer has always been the same - "not needed" and "we have trade signs". The one thing that does not usually get said that scamming is a huge factor in the ECC economy. It has been shown to be a necessary evil unfortunately.
While not necessarily needed it would be a great help to prevent scamming if we can find an option that works and doesn't seriously lag. Using moderators for all our trades creates a big staff burden and isn't done anyways
It may be a great help in some cases, but not all. Plus, the plugin will just take up space on the server that, to be frank, doesn't even need to be there. We don't need to automate everything... doing things traditionally is always a good thing.
First, all of our trades are not required thru moderators as we have trade signs for most of them - and I have yet to ever have a moderator make me feel that they are not more than happy to help out when needed. Sometimes it does require patience if they are busy doing something else, but have never experienced a long wait, even during off peak hours. In addition, being polite, asking nice, and saying thank you goes a long way to getting great service as well.
