Suggestion: Let users place down wool in SG
Reason: I recently played a game of SG that lasted a solid 30-45 minutes because people were stuck in holes. Personally, i had enough string in my inventory to make a wool, but I wasn't able to place it. I think this wouldn't affect the gameplay of sg at all, just help stuck people get out of holes. And who knows, maybe this can help someone pass or live through some of the lava traps on sg 3 :p I mean, it isn't called survival games for nothing, right? :p
Any Other Information: Only one negative drawback to this. If I'm correct you will be able to place saplings so trees could grow, this can be avoided by A) Not letting leaves drop saplings B) not letting saplings get placed somehow. Now that i think about it, sg arenas now reset after every game so that tree should be removed.. right?

I like this but this seems complicated. So I'm not sure to +1 or -1 yet.
Is your suggestion to give perms to the sg map or just place wool? Because why would it matter if you can place saplings? I think you could just disable growth anyways. -
Berserk_on_xbl BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-Mayor ⚒️⚒️
complicated? you can already break leaves and stuff you just cant break anything else. plus there isnt really perms to sg, its just what you can and cannot do. and just place wool, since it is the only makeable block in SG. And idk what could happen if saplings are placed! :p

Ok. if you are allowed to place wool what would make you unable to place saplings that you get from breaking leaves? and if you place the saplings what would keep that sapling from growing? these are the only two placeable objects obtainable whatsoever in sg, and i think that there is no use to letting the saplings be dropped in the first place. But the main point remains the same, allow wool to be placed.

I myself am a bit confused, if you are allowed to place blocks, specifically wool, would you also be allowed to break blocks?
And not just the normal leaves and vines, but any other block? -

If your gullible enough to fall in the trap/hole. You deserve to stay there and die.

Well i guess you wait till somebody starves/leaves and if t hey were smart enough to make final four i would think they would be smart enough to avoid holes .... atleast 1 of them

Yes, players shouldn't have to wait for someone else to quit. There could be other players waiting to play and that's just not "survival". It's whoever has more time.
Now, I'd like to introduce an idea I've thought of. Instead of adding the ability to place wool, after x amount of time with no action (no kills) it will instantly tp you to deathmatch. If there is 4 people left in sg than it could take less time to tp you to dm than 6 because the chance of a fight occurring at 4 people is lower than 6.
I disagree that you have to be "gullible" to fall in a hole/trap. Especially if you are new to the map, there are certain spots that don't look anything like a trap but really are and are easy to get stuck in. I play SG a lot and every once in a while I still find a new spot that is a trap. -

that could work. i think that has sort of been brought up by kuk in a previous suggestion. but whats the point of tping to the deathmatch with lets say 5 people left? if people are in holes and are prepared they would be able to get out. teleportation isnt what survival is about as well.
-
If there are 5 people left, imo, it would be better to tp them to spawn after 8 (could be more or less) minutes of no activity than waiting the 20 minutes a full lobby usually takes on some maps (5 for example).
Or, I thought of another idea. If other people are stuck in holes there could be a command called /sg vote dm. If everyone one else in the sg agrees they can all go to dm. You would only be able to use this when there is 5 or less left to prevent people going to dm when its not even needed, like at the start. -
I have experienced this situation in the past, however there is one major draw back.
If people had enough string before the death match, they could make a tower of wool to protect themselves until death match. This would increase the chance of winning immensely. -
-
[Edit] It wouldn't be very common, but it COULD happen. -
Berserk_on_xbl BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-Mayor ⚒️⚒️
that isnt possible. you can still hit with a pretty good range, the tower would have to be probably 6 blocks high to avoid getting hit, thats 24 string. i really doubt someone would do this as well, theres no point to draw the game out like that.

Back when we could place melons (and not destroy them) people would place them in places to hide from others or to protect themselves. This eventually forced the other users to leave and the person won.
That's what happens when you allow people to place blocks.
(ignoring the rollback problems we've had where melons stayed after a game and blocked some crucial places. -

That is what Kuke is saying. To people who don't mind being stuck in holes because it means that they are safe. They would take wool, and blockade themself in a space (likely with a chest) inorder to obtain the chest resets. The only solution that isn't 100% enforcable, is making a rule that users must do /sg leave if they get stuck in a trap.
