Many users have clans/groups and I'm sure they'd love to make a private forum for them. I'm guessing @xpurexcorex is one, as he'd probably like to make a private forum for America ;)

My idea is that users would apply using ECD for these groups, however, USD can work too, I guess. You basically get your own forum section, which you are moderator of (meaning you can delete posts, kick users and such in that section). You may create forum posts/threads in there, which are private and only visible to members of the group, whom you have complete control over of who joins.

I'd personally like to see this - This adds another money dump, helping the economy all while adding a cool feature for users who own clans/groups.

That's fine as well, however it is ultimately the administration's decision about the cost.

 

You get to create your own SECTION with stickies and such that you can fully moderate and and you can easily deicde who joins and who doesn't. It organizes things better, gives you more options, and has no limit to how many people can join. As @RaginDevonian said, forum PMs are hard with lots of people.

 

You literally just need to set up the permissions for the group initially and then simply add the group. Here's a tutorial of how to set it up:


Else than initially setting up the permissions, it seems relatively simple to do. As far as the forum version goes, I don't know, though I guess it could still possibly work for our forums - That's something andrew and jamie would have to test.
