I am suggesting implementing some sort of auction time or something. There are some people who will wait an extremely insane amount of time between calling g1-g2 etc (like a minute) because they don't like the price their item is going for.
in a suggestion it would work.. but to implement it would be the issue. due to lag and latency between client-host/server-client a minute could be judge differently.. if anything auction"chat" needs to go and an auction plugin would be needed to impliment this properly. the idea +1 the practicality -1... though http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/floauction/ looks like a good fix for alot of the issues that come from the auction chat.
I think that this is overcomplicating it. It wouldn't need to be an extremely accurate measure. I personally though, have not really experienced the issues with auction channel which this would address. I think that there are problems with auctions, such as players cancelling auctions or false bidding etc, but the problem of waiting an extremely long time between G1 & G2 etc is not that common. I have never witnessed someone waiting a minute between each one.
An auction plugin won't work well for ECC - auctions here are far too diverse. I'm yet to see an auction plugin that can handle items, eitems, towns, named items, silly things (books, nothing, fun stuff), feature services, features themselves, and yet more.
Unfortunately, you can't do anything about the amount of time the people take to end their auction, it's just something you have to live with. As long as that user finishes the auction, they haven't broken any rules. Also, as nicit said, there are many other items that we sell in auction that most likely will not work with any of these auction plugins. -1
I'd also like to add that auction plugins can only host one auction at a time, unlike the auction channel.
