    Suggestion:
    Automate loans.

    Reason:
People are getting scammed far too much by people who are trustworthy and just turn. This is bad. This is how you lose players. Automate it some how. I don't know how.

    Other Information:
Too many people loan scamming. I have no ideas.

Maybe there could be a /loan (person) (amount) (payback) (payback intervals)
So if I wanted to loan someone 10k with 2k payback every week I could put /loan banana 10000 2000 7 (Every 7 days)
The person that was taking the loan would be given a confirmation message to which they would type /accept or /decline (just so random people can't be given loans)
The money would automatically be taken out of the person that took the loan's account every 7 days.
And if the person doesn't have it the user that loaned is automatically mailed a message warning them of the person that took the loan's being short on money and the person that took the loan is given a 1 day warning to make money, and if they don't make the money they get banned. There is only 1 warning per loan.

I think this sounds like it could work. (Of course, with tweaking)

what would also help is people with an active complaint on them for loan scamming or scamming in general, should not be able to auction/sell/trade/loan/accept loans until the complaint is handled. That would prevent many scams. Take Giant_Leader or the jack person for example. [EDIT] They both had active complaints on them and they still scammed.

Make the loans automatic so that money will be taken out of their account even if they don't have it! And if you go negative, you can't purchase or spend a penny.

I'm not really sure how automating this would work/be a good idea.

I can see some obvious perks, depending on how it was coded:
    - Staff could view these loans/etc with a command.
    - Perhaps set credit limits for ranks/players?

    However there are negatives:
    - How would renegotiating happen?
    - What if the player can't pay?
--> I think I can say with a fair degree of certainty that anything that automatically bans players without staff review will never be implemented.
--> Making it just automatically set players to a negative bal could break things and wouldn't really punish people. (inb4 people say the current system doesn't either: this would even less.)

As for what @TheN00BISHPanda said, tying the forums to an in game plugin would likely be impossible, requiring staff to manually freeze accounts when they begin handling complaints, which is potentially too late, especially with long term loans.

Staff have given a number of tools to help prevent scams:
    1. Contracts:
1a. Contracts themselves offer a more solidified agreement and could be easier than taking lots of screenshots. Staff also review them to make sure they're reasonable.
1b. You can search other contracts to see if the player you're thinking of loaning money to is currently in other debt or other agreements that could cause conflicts with yours.

    2. Loan Feedback Thread

    3. Loan/Lending Safety Wiki Page

    4. Searchable Ban Appeals/Complaints section.
4a. Search appeals for a players history.
4b. Search complaints to see if a player is currently in any trouble.

I don't see how automating will actually improve the system.
