Minecraft Name: MatthewStevenGo
Suggestion: Banning of usernames containing inappropriate abbreviations ("wtf", "stfu", "gtfo" and the like)
Reason: The reason why I made this suggestion is that the majority of servers bans users having inapproptiate abbrevistions. Because ECC is family-friendly, all usernames having inappropriate abbreviations will be prohibited as it might fall under "Inappropriate usernames" in the rules.
Any other information: I really recommend this server to have the users having inappropriate abbreviations change his/her username into the highly appropriate one.

The topic here is about the prohibition of username having inappropriate abbreviations (like "xxxxGTFO", "xxxWTFxxx", "STFUxxx" and the like (note: "x" stands as an example)) but this does not relate to chat.
Side note: As I said above, the ECC server should be family-friendly. -

That only applies for the users who had abbreviations profane in any manner. But the only exception is that if the user's abbreviation is 100% safe. -
The rules regarding usernames being appropriate have worked well. I honestly don't think these are very offensive.
As well, we shouldn't change the rules just because other servers have this rule - what is best for them may not be what's best for us. -

Are the allowed abbreviations in this server include "WTF", "STFU", "GTFO" and the like in this server?

Abbreviations of such a kind are allowed unless directed at somebody. And it's hard to direct a username towards a certain player.
