Minecraft Name: MBK2345
Suggestion: Being able to buy Original Ownership Powers when you are not the Original Owner
Reason: There are a lot of old towns that have inactive original members but are currently owned by active members, so no portals or pvp arena can be bought. I think having the most towns with the most features will make ECC a better server because there will be more unique towns and ideas.
Any Other Information: This could be an optional decision whether or not to buy "Original Ownership Powers". This option has many advantages. First, you could add these towns to your nations using Town-Town Portals. Second, It could take a lot of money out of the economy (This option could maybe cost about 75-100k)

Dosent this already exist? For 250K ECD you can transfer the original ownership to another player. This will work for town sales, but not of the original owner is not playing anymore, then you have to claim it as tycoon+

It was only added recently, but you can now transfer original ownership of a town for 250k. Read this link to the 'Town Transfer Application' section on the wiki to find out more. Presidents+ can apply for this.

This already exists, in both the form of an active original owner, and inactive owners.
Town transfer application can be found here. It costs 250k, and you must be the rank of president.
Town claim application can be found here. The application is free, however you need to have the rank of atleast tycoon, and all region owners and the original owner needs to be offline for six months.
So, while there are a few situations where a town cannot be sold/claimed, I personally would not want to see any changes at this current time. -

Basically, for active owners/people you have contracts with there is a $250,000 system. For extremely inactive/perma banned users there is the Tycoon+ claim system. Either the active player has given you the rights or the inactive player is gone so long they won't need the town again. The concept of taking away someones town who is active without their permission... is just begging for a problem.

Let's say I want to buy a town off of Solstice18, and he owns the town because he purchased it off the original owner using a contract. Under the current rules (barring the fact he's a mayor) he has the rights to purchase a town transfer. If I were to buy the town off of him using a contract, should that not establish the same proof as if he had used a town transfer? Either way there will be two staff-approved contracts regarding the transfer of towns from one player to the next.
Another scenario: Say I buy the town off of Solstice using a contract, but get the original owner to approve the contract with the terms of acknowledging the change of ownership. Would it then meet qualifications for me to purchase a transfer and take it as my own?
Adding this in may increase sales of transfers, as it would greatly increase the pool of towns eligible. If more towns are eligible, that means more can be sold, and ultimately more money taken from the economy. -

Lets say I decided "I am willing for Nicit6 to become the original owner" and then you decide you want to sell that right to 'Bob' and I don't like Bob. I have the right to decide I don't want Bob owning my original town. Until you make it your original town, I still have that right.

So what I'm getting from all this is that in order to become the Original Owner, the person selling doesn't have to be THE Original Owner, just labelled the Original Owner and has all their powers..
