+1! I went inactive for a while in 2013-2014 and I didn't even look at the forums for about 8 months.

I mean a simple solution in a way for the time being is following the forum and having it send emails, just for a quick idea

Also not really sure how it'd be spammy, it would be like, 2 emails a year at the very very max

 

I really like this idea, I always see people really confused in game about what is going on on the forums cause they dont check them. I dont really believe that people will check their emails that much but it most certainly cant hurt.

Yes please! It doesn't even have to be andrew that writes them, SA's/GA's/Jamie could write them and then andrew just sends them from the admin cp. :)

Anyway, +1, genius idea. Should have been in place for as long as ECC has been up.

 

I believe andrew likes to leave this to the MAJOR updates and such, you should probably expect one for the release of skyblock.
Not sure though, as they shouldn't be a "frequent" event.

 

I'd think that the warp-portal transition and the LWC removal thing should have been the only things emailed, shouldn't be too frequent.

 

Maybe only if it is information where you may loose items? Or the release of new servers/games?
