I've created this suggestion and had the other ones locked so I can have this suggestion more organized. As a community, that strives for fairness, ECC's community is probably tired of hackers. I can only assume that the Server Founder thought the same when founding the server. ECC is meant to be an exploit-free community, where all players have the equal opportunity to work hard and succeeed. Unfortunately, many players have chosen to break that principle and use hacked clients to gain an edge and unfair advantage against other players. With our current plugins, some obvious forms of hacking may be blocked, such as Flying without the fly feature - However, this doesn't apply to the majority of types of hacking - Many hacks that can be blocked by other plugins aren't blocked using ECC's plugins - This include fastbreak, tracers, chest esp, autofarming, autoclicking, autofishing, kill aura/forcefield, reachers and more... So, today, I'll be suggesting to block the listed hacks above and more for the most part. Let's keep in mind that we can never completely "block" hacking as hacked clients/mods rapidly evolve along with anti-hack plugins, but improve the situation, which is what I'm suggesting. So, without further ado, I'll be suggesting to add these two plugins that can block many of these forms of hacking. This will improve the ECC experience of all players as this will put them on an equal playing field. Let's firstly begin with Anti-Aura - Here's a link to the plugin - And here's a trailer that show cases the type of hacks blocked via AntiAura - If you have any concerns regarding this plugin, please refer yourself to my original suggestion, found here. Here's a trailer of the plugin, for people who wish to see it: The major forms of hacking this plugin blocks are Fastbreak, tracers, chest esp, killaura/forcefield, projectiles and more! Now onto the second plugin - ClientPermissions, a link can be found here. This plugin? This plugin can completely block litemod/macromod AutoFishing, AutoFarming, AutoClick, VoxelMap and more via the settings/commands on the plugin. No questions asked. Anyway, hopefully this gets implemented as I know that many of us would love to see a ECC that blocks hacked clients for the most part.
So... you are telling me that there are plugins that can very accurately prevent hacking? Then, you are going to tell me we don't have it? This seems like a nobrainer to me... In my opinion, this should come before the hub. If you have ever played on a server with 300 people or more, you know every other person hacks. With the hub coming along and more advertisement of ecc (hopefully!) we will see a huge spike in player count.. and with that comes a huge spike in hackers; I would rather not be stuck in the dark. +1 for me, obviously. This should be very seriously considered.
I can confirm that it works perfectly fine for 1.8 Should clarify that it only blocks the autofish liteloader mod, not the ones included in hacking clients. And only autofarming/autoclicking from macromod, not anything else.
I have the same concerns I have with every hacking plugin False Bans and Lag. But I'm for anything that stops hackers. No one likes hackers they ruin the game for everyone. So +1
I believe it just kicks you with a warning message instead of banning - correct me if i'm wrong. Edit; +1 I dislike hackers.
Is it possible to set it for like 3 warnings per hack, and then a ban is issued? For example, say you got kicked 2 times for Spider, if you got kicked 1 more time you'd be issued a ban.
I have worked very hard and spent a lot of time and money to earn what I have on this server. I despise hackers for taking the easy way out and agree with any suggestion that would help eliminate them from the server. The problem I see is that these cheaters will just find ways around any attempt to block them. Face it, these players have no respect for themselves or others and will always do anything to take the easy way out. The rules do not apply to them - they hack, they scam, they loot before legal - and until something is done (like this suggestion) nothing will change as many do not even get punished.
Bypasses to some old ncp versions: Glide, Phase, Flight (Sometimes), Scaffold, Speed, Sneak, Criticals, Killaura, Multiaura, TriggerBot, AimAssist, Aimbot, Step (Value set to 1), Jesus, AutoSoup, and AutoPot(tion). Loads of more. There is a server to test hacks and hackers go there, and you could find out how to protect the hack from ECC by asking them how they do bypasses.
I'm suggesting to add a completely new plugin to stop hackers - Our current plugin (NCP) isn't as effective as the suggested plugin, as it makes no effort the block most hacks except for the really obvious ones such as fly - This one can block fastbreak, tracers, killaura, projectiles, aimbot, fastplace, esp, antiknockback, criticals and more. And that's only part of the suggestion - The other suggested plugin blocks liteloader mods and macro mod commands - This can block some forms of autofarming, autofishing, voxelmap and more.
I used to hack and the latest ncp is problably the best because i tested it. Even though about 10 people in the world can bypass the latest ncp problably 99999 people bypass old ncp. And about the mods: People can still edit forge to fully bypass the mod filter. Autofishing should be added in ncp and ncp should consider autofarming as "BREAK_DIRECTION" or something similar. Making a new plugin to be better than ncp could take a LONG time.
NCP is open source and thus the easiest to circumvent. and about the "forge mods" they're not forge mods, they're liteloader mods. And even if they were, does it matter? if it blocks most people then it's better than blocking no people, isn't it?
