I am pretty sure they can't or at least not easily. Saw them talking about this before.

 

I was a test dummy for @iTzXtremeGaming and we found out it can happen kinda easily. He pushed me into pvp while I stood there and it worked.

 

I was referring to staff turning it off.

Don't afk at spawn.

Like what the hell is the point of AFKing at freaking spawn? It serves zero purpose.

 

In the meantime I've made it so you can't push people at spawn into PvP.

 

You can push players again with 1.9? Cause it use to be a thing with I think1.7 or1.8 beta?

I'd say the problem is solved with preventing players from pushing others into PvP. Pushing is a cool feature and it adds more realism to the game, so why block it?

 

Minechat does this thing where it literally ignores everything except chat and the "hey, I'm still connected" packet. You should not be able to push minechat players.

 

I've tested it and you can just use the /home command on minechat and warp to a secure location. It works at least as of 1.8.9 and shouldn't be a problem, when people are in minechat at spawn it ghosts through them. If you're afk at spawn, just don't do that.

 

Preventing pushing in places like Spawn is the most that needs to be done. Otherwise, it's just another tiny incentive to get your own town/home, hide away (not sure why anyone AFKs in-game anyway), perhaps vanish and fly...etc.
