Denied [Suggestion] Bring back old PvP

No. It's stupid to try your hardest to stick to a system that's outdated. Learn to live with the new PVP. I personally like the new pvp more.

 

Currently this is not the doing of the server it is 1.9 Monjang. The only way this would be accomplished is for the server to revert back to 1.8 which would not appeal to new players. OR the server could set up another server like the hub where you would be told to change your minecraft to 1.8 in order to play. However, I doubt the second option would occur as the hub has not been completed yet.

Btw I suck at pvp I'm only good at the OLD sg

 

It's possible in 1.9, there are plugins that change the mechanics around to mimic pre 1.9. But it's silly to stick to outdated mechanics.

 

-1 just adapt with the times. If it's a challenge for old players to adapt that levels the playing field to people trying to get into pvp now. Which may suck from the experienced player's perspective but fresh blood in the server and in sg is always good for old players in the long run. I haven't noticed anyone having that hard of a time just dealing with it. You also should probably not personally attack people with opposing view points, it makes your view point appear weakened.

 

whoa, calm down mate.I'm sure there are many others that like the new combat. I know there are some pvpers on ECC that like it, though I can't recall their names. But they'll look at this suggestion eventually.

Just because you suck at new pvp doesn't mean it's bad. Lol. It's much more than just " jumping around in a circle swinging your sword every 5 seconds". But then again, what do you know. You've already written it off because it's a change from what you're used to.
If you are going to downplay new pvp into that, then I'll just say that pre 1.9 was just spamclicking. We both know that's not all there is to it, but at its essence, that's what it is. Don't be daft. Get used to PVP. It's not gonna change.

PS: saying my argument is bad because I don't pvp is ridiculous. Because I did PVP, a fair lot even. Just not on ECC because only kits existed here.

 

Because people hate change and yell at everything. People have been sticking to previous versions of minecraft since the early beta days. Enchantments? Oh no that's bad. Potions? Oh no that's bad. Look at us now, using enchantments and potions. It's literally a repeat of that. it takes a few months, but everyone eventually adapts. (though, it might take longer this time, because there's a legit method to change attack speed)

 

It was literally the same outrage as it was now. It completely changed how pvp worked, and everyone complained about how everything was OP.

eh? what? The cooldown makes the game less 'babied down' -.- Otherwise its just spam clicking tf out of your mouse and hoping you click faster. Yes the cooldown can be annoying but i like it better honestly. (Only thing i find really annoying with it is in single player when im getting swarmed by zombies x.x) As i recall mojang changed to make it more tactical and to make it so you dont need a gaming mouse to win. (there are people out there using the built in mouse pad thing) also, i think i recall andrew saying he wasn't gonna bother messing around with a plugin to revert to the old pvp. so -1. Lot of work for something thats not needed.

 

I honestly think with the new sg cool downs and all the sg updates will be to op, with bfr a 2 shot hit? No 1.9 gives more players a chance.

 

actually, you dont have to c: its not like it prevents you from doing it. its just doing less damage. you can still spam click and kill things, sure it takes awhile, but its there.

 

thats a bit extreme. sheep have more hearts than one and iv killed them in less than 20 hits. also try just going for a faster weapon? each weapon has different cooldowns.
