Item/Rank/Feature: The "Town Transfer" Feature.
Data Value: N/A.
Current Price: It currently costs $250,000 ECD.
Suggested Price: $100,000 ECD.
Brief Description: "Town Transfers" are done via forums to make a user the official, "Original Owner" of a town even when they didn't originally buy it.
Open Discussion: I personally think that $100,000 ECD for a town transfer is much more reasonable than $250,000. By the looks of it, I believe only one person has done a Town Transfer so long as it has been available. If it was changed down to $100,000 rather than $250,000 I think this could be a much more interesting and popular feature.

I'm not a president+ yet, but I think the main reason for the high the "Town Transfer" price tag has to do with:
- There is a limited amount of map space on the server.
- Remove ECD from the economy that high-ranked players may be holding/accumulating.
Perhaps instead of making it just one flat price, a tier system could be introduced. For example: President+ A owns two towns. He pays $100,000 to transfer a third town. A month from now President+ A want's another town! This time it costs $250,000.
Good suggestion @Jackson_G14 ! :) -
I think that $100,000 is too low. It is only open to Presidents+ and so it really shouldn't be lower than 180k. As a President+, the ONLY way (bar Town Transfers @ 250k) to become the original owner of a town is to apply for Additional Town #3 which costs 220k. So the very minimum it should be in my opinion is 220k.
The other interesting point is that you only pay 250k regardless which # town if it that you are original owner of. Bearing in mind that #4 is 270k, #5 is 330k and #6+ is 400k, you actually save money from using a Town Transfer if you already have 3 or more towns. If you have 6+ additional towns, you save 150k per transfer to get yourself registered as 'Original Owner'. Of course, you are limited to not being able to pick locations/town name for existing towns, but this is offset by the possibility of getting LWCs/materials/buildings etc.
Lets say a Tycoon wants to create a 400x400 town and wants to be the original owner of them all. The way most people do is to either purchased 4 additional towns (Which, if #6+ at 400k per would cost 1.6mil), or to purchase players Mayor in exchange for the town. Now, using town transfers, players could purchase 4 Mayor towns (340k @ 85k each) and could get over the issue of not being original owner at a cost of 1 million. (4 x 250k transfers) Saving 260k buying the additional towns themselves. Bearing in mind that the only other ways to claim a town and become original owner are Tycoon+ ranks at 500k, 1mil, 2.5mil and 5mil for the ranks and 4 town claims, this is actually a lot cheaper if claiming towns is your purpose.
I think overall 250k is actually leaning towards the side of being generous rather than the opposite.-

Honestly, I don't think town transfers should be popular, as you say. They are priced the way they are in order to allow the option, but discourage widespread use of the feature. I say keep it as it is. Its fine.

Town Transfers were made that way as to be high and yet lower than buying your own town. The $100k price shouldn't happen and if it does, I would be demanding a 300k refund for the 2 town transfers I did :p.
The goal is to remove money from the server while allowing you guys to finally have 'original ownership' of towns you've contracted. We've given an inch, I don't think we intend to give a mile.-

Now that I'm out of debt, I'll be filing about 6 of these applications at the price of 250,000. No need to lower it in my opinion.

Once whatever barrier I have is broken, and I get to like, Tycoon or something, I'll be using this a LOT. As long as it doesn't go UP, 250k is fine.

I think the price for town transfers is fine.
My biggest issue with them is them counting towards my created towns. -

Nicit, when you say "created towns," there's a limit to the amount of towns you can make, I think 20 right? Couldn't you apply for a town transfer AFTER limit has been reached?

So after I reach the limit I can't have town transfers accepted?
