Minecraft Name: knears2000 Suggestion: To have staff remove links that contain vulgar language in the complaint. Reason: This is done with normal images, the same should be done with links in my mind. Any Other Information: I understand andrew doesn't take administrative suggestions, but I feel this would better the community as a whole. Link To This Plugin: N/A
I was under the impression all extreme vulgar language complaints had their links/pictures removed. Am I incorrect?
The pictures are removed. Here are some that I've found where the link was not removed: http://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/user-complaint-anthonydavis12.104241/ www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/user-complaint-twexhd.104227/ http://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/user-complaint-deadpool002.104229/
I think he means when people post screenshots, staff sometimes don't edit out the link and it contains vulgar or inappropriate language. Am I correct @knears2000
I'm going to start his off by saying that I have always disagreed with the Staff removing any screenshots from the complaints forum, excluding ones that are covered under the advertising rule, for the reason that complaints are left public so they are useful to all users that may look at them. If you are looking into someone's history to give your own opinion, finding a complaint where all screenshots are removed means it is mostly useless, minus for the ruling by the staff member at the time. Now, as the rules change, and opinions change, that ruling may no longer be as valid as it was at the time it was posted, however the user looking up the complaint has lessened or no ability to draw their own conclusion since the provided evidence is removed to where only the Staff can see. In addition, by Staff removing links in the complaint forums, I feel it allows the Staff to become more opaque than they need to be, which in my opinion, is horrible for users. As for why I feel this way, the complaints forum is where posts go when someone is breaking server rules, and anyone that decides to click on anything posted on the forum section, should expect content that is breaking the rules.
