Since my cooking pot speed seems unaffected (I smelted about a half dozen stacks of iron ore last night and it seemed pretty darn fast like normal), does this mean that mine is glitched fast... or is this only affecting newer ones? Or something else?

 

I've actually dealt with 5 cases of this in-game, and there's an easy fix. I'm not sure why it's been happening recently, but if you put in additional fuel (generally 50,000+) the speed returns to normal. If you catch me in-game I'd be happy to fix it for you, as well as anyone else who's experiencing the same problem.

 

From what I've seen it begins to slow down dramatically once the fuel count lowers below 100,000. This is just an observation, and may actually not be the reason, but is what I believe the problem is.

 

Ahh, then mine being around 1mil, is the reason I am not noticing yet. That would make sense then. Thanks.

My cooking pot was working fine when the fuel was at around 100k, however once I filled it up to 1mil+ it slowed down. Now it seems that the only way to speed it up is to add fuel again.. This is just a temporary fix though and the cook speed returns back to a very slow pace.

 

Falcon, next time you're on I am going to have to catch you. This is problematic for me too and kind of annoying,

I think cooking pots should be fast since thats what they are meant for I think.

 

Is it possible that Andrew didn't nerf the cooking pots but it's actually a bug?

 

Yeah, it was working perfectly fine for the longest time, but as it was running low on fuel once I added fuel up to 1 million it slowed down to the point where its just as fast as a furnace. From my understand many people are having the same problem so it may be a bug.

The only temporary solution I've been able to find is to simply add fuel while attempting to cook something, this tends to make the cooking pot return to normal speed for only a short while.

 

yea mine have been both messing up and i paid for a two cooking pots expecting them to cook stuff super fast like expected and its basically two oversized furnaces :(

Whether it's been nerfed or it's a bug +1 to get this fixed.

 

Cooking pots is the main reason to get extcreations+, the other stuff is not used much and not in demand much.

I would love it if they were returned to 'normal'.
