Suggestion: Make cooking pots available to purchase in towns as an application feature. 40k for a single chest 50k for a double chest.

Reason: People can get their cooking pots and it won't lag as much(?) since there are not cooking pots in every town. It would also remove money from the economy. It could be useful for builder towns or act as a luxury for other towns.

Any Other Information: Make the app something like

    • To apply for a town cooking pot you must post a topic in Applications (Mayors+) forum.
    • Title of your application must have the following tag: " [Town Cooking Pot Application] "
    • Subject of your application must have the following questions copied/pasted and answered:

      • IGN:
      • Do you have the applicable cost in your balance:
      • How did you make the funds for this application. (Lying will result in a ban):
      • Are you the town mayor and what is the town name:
        • Please provide a link to this town's application:
      • What are your cooking pot co-ordinates (In your town):
        • Which world is this cooking pot in (Legacy/Rising):
      • What size will the cooking pot be within your town (single or double chest):
      • Have you made a outline of where you want the cooking pot:
      • The GameAdmins handle applications at least once a week. Do not constantly ask staff to do your application. We can see there are outstanding applications and handle them when we are able to. As well, after payment has been taken your changes are not instant, please wait patiently as they are applied. All users must be aware they will be fined for an improper application. Take extra care when applying for various server features. By agreeing to this you are agreeing to abide by and accept the possible consequences of everything listed in this section:

    • IGN: Jrg5978

I could see how this might work, however, I think that the ability to create/use cookpots was removed entirely in order to implement the /smelt command into ExtCreations+. However, if the code wasn't deleted and rather disabled...if there is a way to do it would completely bogging down the server + taking money out of the economy, I know that I would be all for it.

+1, granted it can be implemented. Else I am neutral.

Then over time, more and more cook pots get added to ECC and we end up with the same problem as before. -1

This ^ As well as the fact that I would prefer the only way to smelt other than furnaces to be through the /smelt command.

I can just about guarantee that they didnt remove them from CraftBook. If anything, the permissions were removed, and they were disabled in the CB config.

One big issue I can see here is that even if we removed people's permissions to make them, all the old cookpots which hadn't been destroyed would still be functional. I imagine only a small percentage of cookpots were actually removed and this could start the problem back up again.

Theres plenty of ways to smelt your stuff right now,
The whole server is still slightly salty over how the easiness have been taken out of smelting.
    But times change and
    Change is Sexy

What lag? The server never lags, only our clients. Personally, I am much happier now that the last 10 or 12 blocks I break are not coming back and smacking me in the face :p
I have a thread where I am offering free smelting for a limited time only to help offset this deep and sorrowful loss to some.
Not one single person has contacted me yet. :(
