Thread Title: Would Deconstruction Tables be useful to others? Minecraft Name: Kalanbel Suggestion: Find.. or create a pluggin (if that's even possible @JamieSinn ) that would allow you to take things currently not sellable to the server, that no one wants to buy, and reduce them back to their elemental parts or reduce them to a portion of their elemental parts... (accounting for breakage etc...) Reason: It would nice to have a way to make $ from leather/gold/iron armor that no one wants but currently cannot be sold back to the server either. This pertains mostly to loot you get from fishing as you wouldn't make something just to disassemble it again later. Other Information: I found a forge mod called Destruction Table but it's not bukkit friendly. I've been looking at bukkit.org and I'll keep looking but haven't seen anything like this there yet. Link to this plugin: Still looking...
I believe that there is a skill known as Salvaging in McMMO. It is a child skill, so the parent skill (Repair) would have to be enabled for it to work. Achieved at level 600 repair, Salvaging turns armor, tools, and weapons back into their base format. Sticks are not retained, however, string, gold, leather, diamonds, etc. are returned to you in a quantity based on your repair level. Only issue with the above solution is a rebalance of the price of ExtCommands, as you can repair unenchanted tools with little to no effort (only 50 repair and 3 diamonds are needed to repair an unenchanted diamond pick). I'm not sure about the feasibility of this solution, but, if done right, might work out.
I suppose one easy-ish way to accomplish this would be to add an ExtCommands ++++ (or however many would add another) feature that would turn on the child skill of Repair called Salvaging in McMMO for those who get that feature. Thoughts??
A suggestion proposed by @12345shane in my other thread was to enable that with a price balance of 30/70 or something. He can explain in more depth, as it was his idea for pricing. I can dig up my thread too and see if this might work.
Here you go: in response to: "Maybe bring it back to the $30 and $70 that ECC had before? (Multi-quote doesn't work in edit...) in response to: "No pistons on ecc Which is a good thing lol +1 But I do think that it may have to be tweaked a bit so that ExtCommands+ is still more worth buying than simply training repair. A low chance of repair doesn't cut it IMO " The suggestion: http://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/suggestion-repair.113604/ It was a suggestion made by myself to find a way to introduce repair in McMMO, but the same could be used if made for salvaging. A 40% chance of salvaging with extcommands, 100% chance with extcommands+.
