I really don't see how adding a disagree rating would cause "flame wars". I think it would be nice if we had suggestion forum where you could see agrees and disagrees, as it would give you a better idea of where the community really stands on a topic. It's just as easy to disagree in the comments anyway. We just have to keep in mind that people are disagreeing with your post, not with you.

This would certainly replaced people from clicking on, "creative". Creative has become a disagree pretty much. If you don't think so, just look at some of the ban appeals. This isn't Facebook or whatever that is where, from what I hear, you are not able to disagree with someone. That is where you post images and people disagreeing could cause people to become upset, yata yata yata. But on here all we post are ideas. It will almost always be constructive criticism.

This suggestion would cause so many problems. Alright, you saw how people reacted when they got the creative, funny and informative ratings. One person almost left because of receiving over 20 funny ratings on a staff application, and actually took a long hiatus. Why would you even bother suggesting this? I'll point out every flaw sentence to sentence as to why this idea was so silly to suggest.

A negative rating? Really? There used to be negative ratings, but now, they're gone because they caused so many issues. Even if it was a positive rating, would people think of it as "positive"? Or like the creative rating that is positive, but is really people telling you that you're wrong and a troll.

The sentence where you talk about "not being urked in the same way" is so untrue. You would be just as mad. I would be more mad if someone rated my post "disagree" over "creative" or "funny". That line is so untrue that it bothers me. You can just walk away. Which I'm obviously not doing here because I really feel I need to post this, but, I'm assuming you're talking about the ban appeals and complaints section of the forums. Let's say I get evidence of a user hacking lets say, and I file the complaint. I get 10 disagrees on it. How would I feel? I would feel ashamed, and annoyed because I spent my time collecting it. If you don't have nothing nice to say, don't say it at all. I do agree with you on one point though, and that's bringing back the creative, funny and informative ratings. I enjoyed those, and if someone rates your post funny or creative, you have to understand that it's okay and that it's just another rating. But, this whole idea was so silly.

Yes, lets add a disagree rating so kids can whine about people being "trolls" by rating their post with a completely fine rating and get it removed in about a month or so.

I don't know if many of you may have noticed but forums isn't the nice place it once was. There are alot of rumors and things being locked and goodbye threads being written I personally don't agree with. I would like to express my negative feelings about a subject without having to post.

It is a good way to also stop uneeded posts on complaints such as hacking, trying to kill in non pvp, and other cases that are touchy.

There is a zero percent chance this will be added. That's just a fact. The server owner himself was the one who took away creative, informative, and useful because it was troll rating in his eyes. This rating will become a troll rating if (which it wont be) accepted. But it's how some users use the rating that will count. If this rating is used by well respected users then it shows a good picture of what the player feels about the subject. But of course some people wont use it like how it's ment to be used. These people ruin it for the rest of us. I actually find it amusing people who used to have 200+ rating now have 10-50 X) i know this may be because you were helpful or creative but it just shows how this would be a good rating to incorporate and how it's all about how you use the rating that counts.

 

the spigot forums has disagree ratings. it even has optimistic and other ratings like that. But were there any problems there? No. I wonder why it became a problem here.
