This would be better player-run as people would easily abuse it and Andrew probably just wouldn't have any time or patience to deal with their crap. There have been insurance companies out there on the server but they're hard to maintain. The simplest way to go about it is to just not lose your stuff.

That's not what you said at all, people can easily abuse it as Miss_Anomaly even said herself, and in case you live under a rock, star tools cost up to a million ecodollars now. Not something Andrew will simply hand out for free.

 

Ur still not getting the point.... If it got taken from a banned user and lost they should be able to return the tool due to enough Evidence that the tool actually is GONE.

While hard to envision, this could work as a player business. The terms of the business would really have to be worked out carefully though, and it would probably need a lot of startup capitol.

 

This is a good idea! and for the suggestion this would mean that less money will be removed from the economy which we don't want what ecc is trying to do is take money from the economy

this seems really hard to code and really easy to exploit. Remember "hardcore" if you lose something extremely important you lose it end of story.
