I didn't use the format for this suggestion because there really isn't a plugin that I have found yet to do this. I know this has been asked for many many many times in the past but I was just wondering if there will ever be a static map of ECC and if yes when that would be.
The lag... what. Take picture of map (of dynamic map, so no movements or get a map) Update this monthly or every two months
Hmm maybe they could try it with another plugin or something too have another but make it less laggy.
The lag that occurs from drawing a map, even once is pretty immense if I'm not mistaken. Not to mention it would not be exactly the quickest thing to do either. I do believe that once that live map was removed from the server, the player count went up t0 500 and Survival Games was added. So, as much as I'd like to see a current map of the server, I doubt it's going to happen.
Andrew made a static map once, it is on the forums here somewhere, and on the ECC reddit. It took a few hours to draw and the server needed to be down to do it, if I remember correctly. If that is the case, it won't be drawn again.
I think it was a couple of hours, yeah... However, what if he did it during long maintenance times (when the server is down, anyway), or every three months? Or, for very few times drawing the map, what about for times like Legacy and Rising; draw it right before Rising opens (Legacy, in this case). I think once in a while would be alright, however all the time I can see not being logical if it causes lag.
Maybe he could have a seperate team to do it kinda like he has a staff team a wiki team he can just recruit people and make a map team!
That makes no sense, the map is drawn from the server, that means giving people access to the server.
