Minecraft Name: MCHelix3000 Suggestion: EcoCityCraft Commercials Reason: I thought it would be a great visual way to let users advertise their in-game products through animations and non-animated visuals. Any Other Information: Commercials made by players themselves would be aired at peak time for 50,000 per minute (could change according to andrewkm) and animated ones, perhaps created by a server member, could be 100,000 per minute. (optional). During off-peak time, it would be 25,000 per minute for player-made commercials and 50,000 per minute for animated commercials. Link To This Plugin: The commercials could be aired on EcoCityCraft's Twitch Channel, or another live streaming website.
to my knowledge i don't think the twitch channel is used that often. Even then it wouldn't be worth it to advertise something for 1 minute if you look at the price. You can put it in trade chat or on the forums for free, so why would you want to put it in a advertisement which takes time to make the advertisement and tons of money to actually buy 1 minute of the stream. It is a decent idea but overall the prices for the advertisements need to be alot lower for it to be even worth it.
I was thinking that based on real life prices, it would be better to price it at these costs. Now removed one 0 from the prices.
Not many people would be able to get to Twitch and have it load in time to see a commercial. As well, it's a commercial... I doubt many people would bother when they are already annoyed with Trade. :b If anything, maybe make a suggestion to Anny for having commercials in NoU.1
Who watches Twitch when they play a game? What's the point? I always get accidentally sucked into my wife's Netflix and don't get things done in game. I wouldn't purposefully watch a stream, movie, etc. to distract myself. Sent from my NX008HD8G using Tapatalk
The streams rarely happen and less people will see it than trade chat in-game. Who would pay a lot of money for that? In fact, shouts are cheaper and more effective.
Maybe an auction every week for a home page advertisement? I can bet it would take a lot of money out of the economy and a lot of users would want that.
