Minecraft Name: riku1301 Suggestion: As a start to fixing the nether shrink it. Reason: Right now the nether is dead. The things in the nether used to be worth going into PvP to get, blaze spawners gave great exp and nether quartz gave lots of exp as well plus some cash. This is where there are problems now, if people want exp they use their eff 7 and mine in the mining world they don't go to the blaze spawners which used to be highly contested. This in turn also makes mining with an eff 7 better than mining quartz, you may make a good bit of cash and a chunk of exp with nether quartz but eff 7 is still better. Why would you go into PvP to even risk getting killed when there are better ways to accomplish the same things you could in the nether. My solution to this is downsize the nether. Your first thought is probably that this doesn't make much sense, if it's smaller i'm more likely to find someone and die. Almost contrary to what I was saying before I think the nether needs to be more dangerous. This would be in my opinion the best way to raise the price of quarts; the only thing exclusive to the nether (in abundance). Rather then making a suggestion to raise the price of quarts this will do it more naturally. Currently the nether is 5k x 5k, I haven't done anything to figure out the optimal size, I think it should be played around with a bit until we finally figure it out. tl;dr Nether is lame, make quarts worth more by making the nether smaller thus more dangerous. Any Other Information: In my opinion this shouldn't be the only change to PvP in the nether. Another thing I would like to see added is a restriction on teleporting such as you must be out of combat for 5-10 seconds before teleporting Link To This Plugin: N/A
I'm not entirely sure if this would work but I think it is a decent idea, but for it to work like you want it to something else should be added.
I enjoy the nether just as it is personally. Sometimes change brings many more problems than can even be imagined.
smaller area's mean more fights and less resources, if people want this, it's a good suggestion. But otherwise not so much. But I'm for it because nether is meant to be a dangerous place, so it should feel that way
I would respect your opinion if it was real in any sort of way, i have never seen you in the nether at all, and im sure if you are you are using some sort of donation feature to your safety
Well the nether is pretty big as stated in this suggestion so I can see why you would never see him in the nether
I will admit I have been much more inactive lately due to illness, however, there is not one single reset since I have joined ECC that I have not visited the mining world and the nether. Also, I am not sure if it is because of a feature I have, but I do not show up in the /list with the color of the world anymore. Oh, and yes, I do use /v many times while I am on as you would not believe the amount of begging an ECOMaster receives and it is hard for me to keep up with the chat, not to mention that when I fortune ores and mob grind, I really do not want to be found That said, it is fine with me if you do not respect my opinion.
I just dont think you understand, i dont validate your opinion because your using a donation feature too escape any actually risk in the nether being pvp, and your one of the few that accutally visit the nether, i constantly /who to see who is in the nether, and its rare to see a person in there once an hour, which for what the nether has, there should be more, this post is trying to get more people to join the nether by fixing it,we are not appointing this suggestion to people like you, who use there donation features to take away the risk
well judging by his 800+ donations stealth is prob one of them so he prob is in /v while in the nether to cut the risk
First, I like the nether just as it is. I hope this is elaborate enough Second, changing the way the nether seems simple, however, the ramifications of this change can affect the economy in many ways that we would not begin to understand. That is for the staff and owners to figure out. I am sorry but thought I had explained it well enough as this is not just an opinion but more a statement of fact since we have had changes that have negatively affected the economy before (I have no examples handy but a quick search will find you some I am sure)
Maybe? I also have nether/aether/survivor/warrior/terminator/pilot/and captain status - It seems if they have a way to take my money out of the economy - I am all for it - well except lotto which I rarely participate in (my apologies to the owners)
Ndm and Riku, you two are suggesting this only so that your little scheme in the nether would have more victims No offence, but the price of quartz is your last interest. Nether seems good now. As I get in, I run far from the spawn as quickly as possible and whenever I notice somebody in /list, i usually log out for 5-10 minutes. Making the nether smaller, while having PvP teams lurking around, would make it almost impossible for me and other to mine there, and nether would become even emptier.
And you care - why? I never can understand why players that are inactive still feel the need to comment on threads that obviously do not even concern them. Don't get me wrong, I really wish you would be able to come out of retirement and be active again. Why do you want a plugin that you would not even use? BTW Shane, I do appreciate your opinions.
When I pay off this debt, I quit, maybe I'll stay for a week and get the sg medal, but that's it. I personally don't care. PvP is dead. All I want is for the other pvpers, is to have more a of a chance to have fun, and make money. So if you want to call me out on my signature, why don't I just lock my appeal, and never try to help out any ECC'er, or minecraft'er for the rest of my life? I'm real sick of being called out. All I was doing was trying to help users who actually care for this server, like I was March 2013-August 2014, so excuse me.
Eh, would like to say that I care too even though I'm inactive. I want people to have the same welcoming experience I did.
