I was thinking how boring clearing the space out for a town is, and it takes dayss. so i think there should be a application(like for mayor) and if you fill out the application a mod or whomever will clear the 100x100-200x200 land for you.... here's an example of a application i created(edited version of a mayor).

Additional information about your town:
Certain Staff handle applications once every 1-7 days. (Meaning once a week) Asking constantly about your application does not speed up the process. We very well can see there are outstanding applications and handle them every few days. As well after payment has been taken your changes are not instant, please wait patiently as they are applied. All users must be aware they will be fined for an improper application. Take extra care when applying for various server features. Do you understand this?:
Note: I pitched this idea to annyonion 8/21 9:30-10pm est. didn't think its a good idea taking its the mayor's responsibility...

I think if you want to have to do no work, get a little spending money, hire some builders to gather dirt, get someone with fly to place cheaply at like $500 per double chest. Could be cheaper than what you suggest, may be even faster. -1

Or you could pay straight up front through ecc so the person doesnt go mining and that way theres no gaps under your flat ground, cuz im sure they will just cover it up

Did I read that correctly? You want a staffmember to come clear your town? and you want an application for it?
Why not ask some staffmembers directly and pay them some hefty amount?-

No completely missed it, i think it would be a good idea to fill out a fourm and pay whatever money to have your town become flat. There is a mod where you can generate mountains and create flat lands at certain places, so i thought it would be a good idea having thought that it takes days to clear land.

You mean WorldEdit? I don't think so then. We used to actually have worldedit. It was like 50k + 3 cents per block? Not exactly sure but we used to be able to do this and caused way too much lag. It would be easier to just have it be cleared and take a bunch of money out of the economy, but simply too much lag to be do-able.

If you don't trust the person you are having place dirt, don't hire them... You can tell them they will not be paid if there are gaps. There are many solutions to what you are saying. You can simply buy dirt. -

We used to have Worldedit, but, as SnDx said, it was removed a long time ago, because it caused too much lag.
There's a "TeamWorldEdit" that some players put together, you can hire them if you wish. Ask Alarah He can explain it to you. -

WorldEdit applications used to be possible as example I just found one of the World Edit Applications from a very long time ago. The cost of having andrewkm clear a 20x200 area to make it clear for a farm was about 100k. This did not include (as was asked in the application) having blocks placed down. To have blocks placed down it was 25k extra.
Now, moving on from cost, which for World Edits was insane. There also was a problem that according to Wewinagain started arising as time went on. A lot of ECC is Old Chunks. These Old Chunks could get accidentally updated during the World Edit which would cause new problems because they may not mesh with the land around it and could cause severe server issues.
Basically, it was super expensive and riddled with problems. Just hirer someone.

Correct. The map has been expanded. I mean when I joined ECC it was 15k x 15k now its 30k x 30k. They just add new chunks. The old chunks were made in different updates then the new ones making them have different rules, etc etc. Its weird.

The main problem is insane lag, it got removed because of insane lag. The thing revan's talking about had to do with chunk regenerating, not with cutting away land.
