How about we push the tutorial somewhere else?

I think that's a really good idea, there is so many new builders that join the game and don't know what to do.

 

Making note of how this can be done :)

 

Seems so simple... and yet... seems not to be able to be done :(

 

A lot of suggestions are that way right now...

 

It may be frustrating at times for us as players, however, I do think of how overwhelming each decision has to be for the new (well almost new) owners and how much effect it will have on all of us as players.

 

I understand that. It just seems like nothing new is being added as of recently :/ And that, I'm not too keen on.

 

Good and simple suggestions rarely get accepted any more that's one of this servers biggest flaws atm.

 

When I first joined, I was completly lost and fustrated not to know how to play.

I found it annoying that new players got dumped in the middle of a maze-like spawn.

Gives those who are interested in joining the server right off the bat a quick guide of easy access signs to glance through.

Makes things easier for the staff. Makes staff lazy. We're here for many reasons, in which one of them being helping new users. If someone's asking for help, that's essentially our cue to step in and be of assistance. Personally, if you see a user online who's asking for help and is being ignored, poke me and ask me what I'm not helping him. Speaking for myself when I say this, I've never let a user go without offering assistance and/or providing a proper explanation to their question.

As for others who've talked about this above on this thread, you don't necessarily need to be staff to help out a user and answer a few of their questions. A staff member helping a new user is essentially nothing different than a normal member helping a new user. So don't be discouraged to help.

 

@minecraftninja05 It doesn't always have to necessarily be staff helping new users, regardless of rank anyone can help. If you see someone asking for help, encourage others to step in and be of assistance.

Other than that, personally I don't see any other negatives to this suggestion.

 

I have pretty much given up on suggestions because even the most simple thing to do is treated like a cataclysmic change that will destroy the internet or some people come up with idiotic cons regarding the suggestion without sparing a second to think about it.
For the reocord +1 but I know its probably not gonna happen soon (or ever) because of reasons.
