Because its annoying. I agree with Ryan, we need signature size limits, mainly a height limit to them.

 

They already have a character limit, and that's really all they can limit without making everyone unhappy with the banners and such. And all they would have to do is shorten the URL like everyone does anyway...

 

Or you could just spoiler the whole thing if it exceeds a certain limit. You make a spoiler by doing this.

I completely agree with this, I was actually surprised to see there was no signature size limit. Most sites I've joined have strict rules regarding them, and on some cases you can certainly see why they decide to do so.

 

Even if it's in a spoiler my phone still has to load it. Some of these signatures are just ridiculous.

 

It got fixed, just look at your massive signatures now, it's all cut off and stuff.
