I'll be honest, I don't vote everyday as it is, simply due to forgetting about it or being on at the wrong time. If I knew that I had a chance to lose money, I'd probably vote even less. This would negatively effect the server and serves absolutely no purpose other than to turn people off from voting, which is the way we attract new users.

Most of the time users vote with the hope of being lucky and receiving extra nstars, horse eggs, raffle tickets, as you can see in the vote buttons. Even with the possibility of being Lucky some users still don't vote. With the possibility of losing things, the users would even vote less.

Why penalize someone for helping the server? It's good to have some fun things when voting but I don't think it should be bad.

Practically all my arguments have already been mentioned.
Personally, I try to vote every day. Mainly to support the server, but the nstars are a nice reward for it. IF you had a chance of losing money when voting, who would like to be fined for helping the server? Nobody would, and the percentage of voting players would decrease even more. :(
