The mining world, along with the nether, is the only place hostile mobs spawn. The problem is, they almost never spawn, and you only see one every once in a blue moon. This makes the mining world far too easy to traverse, and protection 4 armor with feather falling 4 boots is all it takes to make the mining world a joke, just because of ravines and lava. My suggestion is that mobs should spawn more, not as much as the single player spawn rate, but just more, about three times as much. This will make the mining world a bit harder to traverse, and you would be encouraged to bring a good sword or bow with you when you mine. That is pretty much all I have to say.
I think more hostile mobs in the mining world would be awesome, remember you do get mob drops and exp from killing them. It will in my opinion also make the mining world a more interesting place to go to.
Whoops, sorry if I'm bumping this thread so much, but I feel like I made a mistake and this belongs in Suggestions. Can a mod please move it there so it gets more attention?
On one side this would be great, mining world would be much more fun if you could actually fight some mobs like single player, But on the other hand, it would be a real pain in the butt for miners to have to turn a corner and clear out a entire hallway of monsters. I mean, this could lower the amount of money you make per hour mining (spending time fighting monsters, possibly getting killed) and the poor builders who come mining could start getting killed really fast. So really; -1
I do agree, it takes so da"" long to actually find a hostile mob in either world, that you just rage quit if your looking for supplies VIA Gunpowder, or Bones. +1. Not much is really need to be said, over all I do agree that a 1x spawn rate, or 2x is fine. Maybe 4x for the Nether for hardcore players actually prepped going there instead of noobs :/. (Goes to the nether), (10 years later), "Finally a blaze" (Someone kills it, then he kills you) "-.- Unuo what" (Throws computer in trash compacter.) "Problem solved."
I'm assuming you mean "5 minutes, instead of give minutes" But likewise this is related to general spawn rates, not spawners.
But then how is this correct either? Blazes spawn from spawners. If you want a mob in the nether you go after pigmen, have you ever actually been to the nether on ECC? It has pigmen everywhere.
How about we add a mob room that spawns in a few mobs every minute, and you can kill them for exp/drops? It wouldn't make much money, but if you needed drops you would go there.
Nether Forts have blazes/pigmen/withers spawning on castle walls/bridges by default. Lets stay on topic, this is related to spawning. Not spawners, spawning things.
I am staying on topic. You said that you never saw any blazes. They are mobs with spawners. I'm saying that your argument makes no sense, there are mobs everywhere in the nether. Just go there.
