Minecraft Name: UnitedStates2002 Suggestion: Add a Kit-PvP arena. This will revive PvP on ECC, while shifting our focus from the unsolvable problems of SG. Reason: ECC has one "real" mini game, which is SG. SG is pretty much dead due to kits and chases away newer players as it gives them a "pay2win" idea of the server. As for the mini game I'm suggesting, basically, kit-pvp is where there's an arena where players have the same selection of kits and PvP each other in the arena. As for the economy aspect, we can give money per kill. In kit-PvP there is absolutely no pay2win, as everyone has the same access to the same armor and weapons. This can allow us to shift our focus to kit PvP, leaving the unsolvable problems such as kits alone, while appealing to PvP-oriented players who don't like pay2win. I personally love the idea of Kit-Pvp. I mean, I play that on other servers, and I'd LOVE to see it on EcoCityCraft. +1
To be fair, we're an Economy server not a PvP server. I was shocked to see the addition of SG back when it was added. I remember PvP was really popular back when Mining PvP was enabled. People had clans and used to PvP all the time. Personally I don't like PvP but that's not why I'm against the idea. PvP is great for events, great to pass the time, and great for PvP servers (Duh!). ECC is an Economy Survival server and hence the focus is on Economy and Survival. PvP can create un-needed conflict, which builds up over time. There's also the issue of Pay-to-win with PvP. It's not fun for anyone free to play to be against people who are "Pay to win", which causes some people to result in hacking as an alternative to paying. Server donations are great, I encourage them, but not for something that gives you an advantage over another in a competitive environment. I understand that Kit-PvP as you said will not be pay-to-win, but we have SG already. The idea is great, but why would the staff of ECC remove Survival Games when people have already invested so much time and money into it. If we keep SG and add kit-pvp, the people who have donated would play SG and the others would play Kit-PvP (Or rather, non-donators will avoid SG). This would just further split the PvPing community and we don't want that considering how small it is already. Just my thoughts on the suggestion! -1 due to SG existing already.
While it would push away the people who donated sg pushes away all the new players. Either way its a lose lose situation. I for one being a donor have never player SG, never liked it to pay2win, almost quit because of it myself(When I was new), now kit pvp would be nice to just get a default kit and run around with others, it just seems like kitpvp would offer up more as a community, people could and would team and be more organized then like in SG. Wanna talk about it being a economy server then SG messed up more then a standard kit pvp would have, but also to your "this is a survival server" point, PvP is one of the major factors of Minecraft in general, more then half minigames are based around PvP in some aspect, and when I was staff you would not believe the amount of time I got asked if there was pvp, and how half of them quit after no "real" pvp. And as to money per kill it could be x money per unique kill that resets like every 5 minutes or something
+1 seems fun. It would be a nice break from all the bfr pvp which is who can land the first hit or 2 and not who can win in a longer pvp Battle.
Yeah I can definitely see what you mean. Ideally SG is replaced with kit pvp and id agree with that. Its just highly unlikely that will happen hence the -1. Itd be good to keep new players interested and earning money rather than being confused about what to do. ECC is very overwhelming at first. Im all for PvP as long as it's executed correctly, it could tie in well with the hub.
And plus the idea of SG is just getting old, its not fun anymore really, its not unique, its over done and underwhelming. Atleast to me. While kitpvp would fall under that too atleast it feeds most if not all of players needs
This would be cool, but how would the kits be used? pvp gear is usually brought with. if not, it it not survivalgames?
Generally in kit pvp you join and select a kit you'd like. For example there's 5 different kits to choose and you pvp against others using either the same kit or one of the other 4 kits.
