Thread Title: An addition of a command, "/look" that allows a user to look directly to a heading and pitch. Minecraft Name: sick24 Suggestion: The addition of a "/look" command. It would allow users to do, for example, "/look 360 40" to direct their user to 360 degrees (North) at a pitch of 40 degrees from straight down. This would allow for *exactly* straight walking so that planting/placing/breaking in straight rows would be easier. As some may know right now, some warps already set you to a cardinal direction (90, 180, 270, 360) and if placed correctly, these can be useful to take advantage of the directly straight walking; however, many warps are not set at the correct pitch which could destroy the usefulness of warps since we do need to move the mouse to get the desired pitch. Adding this command would save the pain of always having to redirect the mouse to stay on-track. Reason: While Macro was still enabled on ECC, I had taken advantage of this script to be able to place blocks in a straight line, and I must say, it saved a lot of time. I would love to always utilize a feature like this as it was a fairly big time saver. Other Information: Seems like a good addition to ExtCommands to me :3 Link to this plugin: Unfortunately, I am unable to find an existing plugin on bukkit.org
This would a great feature to use, although mostly for convenience, as you can align yourself to within 0.01 of a degree fairly easily.
Actually I don't understand either. Why not just hold the mouse still? This seems like an insignificant detail if that is all the command does is hold u still. Why can I just use the command and hold W down and basically auto farm? Again I don't understand the suggestion so if I'm wrong place correct me.
It isn't auto farming in the slightest bit. It just gets you looking straight forward so while farming you don't run into other blocks, or stems.
Is farming in a straight line really that hard? It's not for me and I have the standard 200×200pumpkin farm town . However i do have a poor render comp so maybe it's easier? But I have to -1 this because for me I personally don't find it hard to look forward, hold w, and hold right click. But it my be different for people with more sensitive computers.
I have two issues with this until I'm sold. Alot of casino games run on the use of bow aiming, what happens when people determine EXACTLY where they need to aim and simply use this command to win every time? Not every player knows angles/directions in the game, so the command would also need to recognize "north" as an example. Perhaps a /straight command would be more fitting? This would simply snap your heading to N,S,E, or W, whichever the crosshairs are the closest to. This would fix both of my issues.
It's not a good casino game if there's skill involved, they're supposed to be luck based with bias towards the casino. (casino always makes a profit)
Find me in game later, when you say there is no luck you're wrong. It's basically my target practice range, I do jump shots, hit minecarts moving fairly quickly, and hit buttons that are 50 blocks away. There is not enough skill in the world to hit 3 buttons in a row at 50 blocks. That is luck.
