[Suggestion] /mail

I like this idea. When we have to get proof of "/mail"ing a player it is more difficult to get the correct screenshots than it really ought to be (and those screenshots aren't even foolproof).

 

I agree. Without an actual server notification, there really is no way to prove that you actually sent someone a message. The only way to 100% prove this is to record yourself sending the message.

 

Because I was bored, I actually did this. I might make a pull request to essentials if there is enough people wanting to do this.

Technically no, however Essentials is used by tens of thousands of servers, not everyone might like this.

Technically yes, but it would not need to be done exclusive for ecc. It could simply be a config option.

Never thought of a config setting for this actually. Technically KHobbits could add it, and make it optional for it to be enabled for users.

I think this could be an interesting idea, but when sending things like evictions by in game mail, you should type out the message you want, double screenshot (for timestamp), hit enter to send, and as system reports that mail was sent successfully, double screenshot again.

It may be annoying, but maybe the answer is to encourage all users you come in contact with to get forum accounts, that way official communications are a lot easier.
