    Suggestion: Make Aether a free for all

    Reason: There is no way of proving who owns what plot, there is nothing to stop me or anyone else saying I own this plot, I don't see the point in attempting to moderate something like this it would only end in tears.

    "I own half the Aether people troll locked my stuff" People can say that and just begin tearing down stuff.

    Make it free for all and save the staff team's fine so they can work on stuff that actually needs fixing, no point wasting time trying to save builds which haven't been touched in months.

    I am going to screenshot random builds with f2 and just claim they are mine, there are no locks on the build so there is no way of proving me wrong.

    And yeah, fully agree with this suggestion. There's no possible way to prove that someone owns a build without just taking their word for it. This whole "protect the aether" policy is stupid. I hereby claim half the aether is under my ownership and the other half is owned by xx3. Can you prove me wrong? No. Am I right? Who knows...

    Here's what I think we should do:

    - Close off the access to the Aether to prevent drama and massive looting
    - Offer World Download
    - Remove the Aether

    Making the Aether free for all will just exacerbate the problem with grief and threaten YOUR builds. No one ever uses the Aether anyway and it pointlessly clogs up spawn with a portal that could be replaced for the End portal. Just close it off to avoid drama and looting while offering a world download as there's some pretty cool builds in the Aether. Once all that is finished, just remove it and replace it with the End.

    I know that I'm probably gonna get in trouble for this but @andrewkm has never really stated that he didn't want to be tagged.. and I know I'm not staff but this should be an urgent issue for the 1.9 transition.

    Anyway, -1. Too much exploitation of the economy and grief of great builds is at stake. Given that Jamie's plans that have been out there for months, people did have opportunities to take down their stuff. I think the best solution at this point is to close off the Aether, as @UnitedStates2 has said.
