I remember when I was a poor mayor without fly. I fell numerous times into the void and lost many sets of diamond and chain armour. I believe that this suggestion will impact a lot of peoples decision to purchase aether access and the Captain rank. +1

 

+1. If this is implemented, more people will buy the rank, and more money will be taken out of the economy.

 

not really; no one ever goes to the aether to do much, so no one will need the captain rank and consider it a waste of time + money better spent on other, more useful things (nether ranks, general ranks).

most people already have it anyway.
but +1 anyhow because captain has never had anything better than a forum title, and even that's gone now.

+1 I bought Captain the other day, but any added bonus is always welcomed! I imagine currently that quite a lot of people with the Captain rank have fly, but hopefully this would encourage more people to get the rank.

Combined with perhaps another aether building contest, this could encourage more people to make use of the aether.

 

I'd like to see this happen, but, if I fall into the void and I'm a Captain let's say, how do I get back to the surface?

 

I would like to see this added. However, I still don't think it provides enough incentive for me to rank up. As for something that can, I can't think of one at the moment. However, the only reason I really go to the aether is to look at other peoples builds. Maybe for captains, only in the aether, we remove the speed cap (Speed 10 actually only being speed 4) as another perk in the aether.

 

I just bought the rank captain for the name. Any extra bonus would be nice whether it is this, animal spawn eggs, anything really.

 

You should still be able to use commands like /spawn or /home.
