you can flame someone and get them to respond with something they shouldn't say and delete your posts. giving the other users a bad reputation
The reason you can't edit conversation posts after 5 minutes (I'm assuming here) is that you can't check the edit history of posts in a conversation, which could be abused easily. You can edit a normal post as much as you want, this is because the staff can see edit history, -1.
Not necessarily, if you do a Quote then it can kind of prove that it was there, and I do kind of see what you mean but normal edit can do that too
Mods please lock as there is too much negativity (not you guys but negativity as in -1's) and does not seem like it would get accepted
