+0.5, I agree, they are super annoying. But when you mine one, there are usually lots more around, so I just do /wild land again. They like emeralds! Some caves have lots of them, most have none.

This, and, just wear armor. I usually wear Prot IV armor while mining, and you barely take damage not only from silverfish when you come across them, but it protects from other mobs well, and you can lava-swim for enough time to /home :p. At least normal diamond armor should do, though.

 

Can someone tell me a reason to eff 7 mine in the mining world? You need to fortune the stuff anyway! As well as it requires fly+. What a waste! Just mine in rising and be safer. Don't take this as a -1, but just as advice to avoid the silverfish.

Well, that's just silly. You could easily just prepare yourself for silverfish.

• Wear armour with protection enchantments.
• Look closely at the block you're breaking, if it takes longer to break, it's a silverfish block.
• Or if you don't want to see silverfish at all, don't mine in extreme hills biomes.
• Get a mod for nightvision, change your gamma to bright, use a nightvision potion, or get the feature that gives access to /nightvision

It's hella easy to keep yourself from dying. I don't see why the silverfish blocks should be removed.

 

No one should mine in rising, that's why mining world exists. If he did so, he would be ruining someone's future town...

 

That's not illegal, so who cares. Rising is much much safer than Mining.

 

I know that it isn't illegal but still no one SHOULD mine there. Anyway I can understand a builder saying that mining world is dangerous but from a president... You can afford a prot 4 darmor. Nevertheless you can mine there, as you said it isn't illegal..

 

Waste of money. I haven't had a normal sword or any armor in my entire 3 years on ECC. Well, unless I'm at a mob grinder.

Monster eggs only spawn in extreme hills afaik so just avoid those biomes and you should be fine.
