After reading over the comments, I think the best plan would likely be to add iron ingots, gold ingots, stone swords, and thats about it. Anything further could be very OP. Lets consider if diamonds were added: I can just see one of the longer games with chest restocks ending in someone having diamond armor and/or diamond sword. That could be beyond OP. I feel like ending it at craftable iron and gold swords/armor and a stone sword would be enough to help a bit but not be too OP.

Snowballs are part of one of the SG kits, Scavenger.

When we had enderpearls people would use them to get to parts of the map that weren't intended to be reached and basically made themselves unkillable. It was frustrating.

 

I think iron swords be replaced by stone swords so iron swords are only achievable with iron ingots, so if iron ingots are added, they would actually have a use besides armor.

 

People would throw them ontop of buildings, mountains, etc. Basically, they got to unreachable places and camped there.

 

Add mushrooms to chests. And also, i know furnaces can be exploited, so why not add a single cooking pot to the middle of the map? maybe put a bucket in chests and get some lava from a trap and have players fill up the cooking pot, its not like they can place the lava in the map and it would give players an opportunity to cook their food.Also, if theres only one of these in the middle of the map, people would be much less likely to use it in fear of getting killed in the middle, but its still an option.

 

The players may need pyro to scoop up the lava.

 

Instead of lava you can use like coal. I used to use wooden swords in furnaces but they are gone now.

Axes aren't terribly good for PvP without mcmmo from what I understand. Also, if you want it to be about axes, I will go make a suggestion for the other ideas that seemed reasonable.

 

Partially approved - Iron and Gold Ingots will be added. Stone Swords will be added. These changes will take effect in the next 24 hours or so.
