This has always annoyed the life out of me. The whole point of warping is to get to the place you intend to go. Not to get teleported next to place you intend to go.

To add; It would make sense to do this. /warp market takes you to the market, not the market portal. Why the mining portal for /warp mining? Meh...

I've always thought this had to do with the fact that the Y coordinate exists. But since the Y level of the warp ultimately has 0 impact, I don't see a reason why not, provided that there is always land or a platform at 0, 0.

While id love to personally see this as well i assume the reason it is not so is that the warp would have to be changed each time mining is reset which just adds one more obstacle between us and a new mining world, and i agree with suburb, so im gonna say -1 simply for those reason alone.

Put a copy of that wall inside the mining world then.

 

Its not an obstacle. It takes literally about 10 seconds to do "/delwarp mining" go to the mining world, "/setwarp mining"

 

just have a /mining command that TPs you to the multiverse spawn point in the mining world. The warp is in front of the portal because setting the warp each time is annoying and easily forgotten.

 

Can't it be done when the portal is added each reset?

 

Personally i set a home there in a place i like or need to gather materials from, my current one is a water temple i went to town on with another user the first day the new world came up. Its a few extra seconds of load screen, really isnt a big deal. Kukelekuuk00 basically answered that one before your post :p

 

If you read what you quoted it was a response to a single person who also quoted me, not the whole post. Just because people dont know how to properly use the mining world portal dont mean it should be moved inside the mining world, it means there should be some way of showing how to get there which the tutorial already covers by saying goto /spawn and walk through the mining world portal.

/warp mining is already a good way to get into the mining world. It has all the signs for the builds there, plus the portal to simply walk through. Its also fairly self explanatory with how it all works even without using the tutorial. Seems a senseless thing to change that actually adds more complications than solutions to problems IMO.
