I don't think this is necessary. The only way your files get wiped is if you have less than 100k, in which case it won't be too difficult to make that money back.

Ah, I meant balances and /homes. I wasn't thinking of your .dat file. Either way, I don't think this is a necessary feature. It's not too hard to either log in once every two weeks, or put everything in a locked chest if you know you're going to be gone for an extended period of time. I rarely log out for more than a few minutes with valuables in my inventory.

With regards to the suggestion, put all money in signs, and items in a chest. It isn't too hard to do and won't cost any money.
