Exactly. I have 14 player purchased towns. I'm not in the mood to have to hand them over. One of them alone has 472k in iron blocks currently on it.

 

I think if andrew was even to consider this he would have to say in a poll if you are going to loose them and then see what people say as most people have more second hand towns that ones bought through the server due to the server pricing.

 

Exactly, I vote we just slightly expand the map.

 

After thinking more yes on expand the map or edit sections into the new biome that are out towards the edges so that there is more of the new biomes as there is so many to generate, plus there will be the mining world to get the blocks.

Not really there has only been a few snapshots i dont think it will come out for a month or so maybe more

 

I'd like to see a vote on this. A new map would be nice. Personally I wouldn't be upset with losing my town(s), I'd just like to have the ability to acquire new towns in the new map for free.

 

A new map really is not a option if towns not saved the server would die and there is far to many towns to transfer the map will most likely expand.

 

I'm significantly less willing to give up my towns. I have a 1 project that uses 3 player bought towns that currently houses 472k worth of materials. If I can't transfer my player purchased towns I would lose so very much. I know of other players, like Tommy_T who have a lot of money/time/effort put into player purchased and personally purchased towns. I honestly would be extremely upset losing my towns.

 

Andrew said he would never do a map transfer again, I assume this means never, unless there was an extremely vital feature added which would mean MC not working if we kept our current map.

 

5 years from now and 40 updates later, you'd still expect the same setup? Are your legos from your childhood still constructed and will forever be the last thing you made with them?

I get it, believe me I do. I have weeks, no, months and months of work in one of my towns and it would be a huge loss for me. But then again, it's just a game.
