Suggestion:
I was thinking of the owner (phys) sometimes announcing via [Alert] that a certain arena will be a "Boss SG". Then everybody is fighting against everybody as usual, but there is as well a "boss" (phys) having fly and kits (Maybe except bows), and the one who kills the boss receives an EcoDollar price or a coupon, like the normal competitions where a coupon SG is announced.
Reason:
I think it would be awesome to have another type of competition, just like the coupon SG's mentioned above. Giving away coupons to the winner may be a reason for lots of players to join. :)
And another pro, it wouldn't require much work to set up, only some of phys' time. But that's the same with coupon SG's. :)
Other Information:
As phys is the new owner, I wasn't sure whether I'm allowed to tag her. :)

N/A, our current kit/SG mix allows this, /fly should be possible to allow with permission files. (Not sure whether the ServerOwner rank already has access to all commands in all worlds)

I don't really like the boss idea but I like when we have a SG event in correspondence to an irl sports event like the Fifa World Cup and the Super Bowl. Maybe have one for the World Series (Baseball)?

Well, that would require custom coding. The suggestion I made would be easier to realize. :)

I don't know much about coding but I don't think it would be too difficult. Just add an enderdragon 1/30 times and turn off pvp among other users at this time. Your suggestion would require physicist to come on and use her hardcore pvp skills on us. If she did do this, I would see it being something that happened very rarely, a lot like that one mining game andrew used to do (forgot what it was called)

what I mean is: There would need to be a random numbr generator after the grace period for that 1/x chance. Then it would require a command to spawn the dragon and to disable pvp between others. IMHO this might not be a small edit in the SG code and would definitely require custom coding. (Might be wrong though, I don't know much about java, only Delphi) -

Once again, I don't know much about coding but that was just my guess. My suggestion was really just an alternative to yours because if phys does do something like this, I'd assume it would be a very rare thing. My suggestion probably wouldn't do that great either but I was just throwing it out there. To be honest, I'd rather just see a brand new minigame instead of a new sg gamemode. -
I thought about this as well, but this might lag the server/require more server ressources. That's why I suggest a ressource-efficient gamemode which can add some fun to special games. :)
