We cannot completely overhaul all the kits that the playerbase has donated for. They pay and expect to receive what they had bought.
To make the kits "less OP" would decrease the amount of players willing to donate for the server.

People buy kits because they are OP. If kits were to be "less-op" people would stop buying them. That is what it comes down to :)

As contentious as the kits are, there is a direct link to real life as well. There are the 'haves' and the 'have nots' in every society.

Personally I do not play HG for this reason, I support the server to play Minecraft not PVP, but will not 'invest' in kits mainly as I lean more towards being a gatherer and builder than a PVP 'frag' chaser.

I do however enjoy the occasional HG game, and should ECC make a vanilla arena, where kits are filtered, and all players start on the same level, with emphasis on skill and team work leading to the victor, then I would participate. Maybe this could be an option, keep the current arenas for those with kits, but look at making a vanilla arena for the 'have nots'.

Not possible. I believe kukelekuuk00 said that it wouldn't be possible for that to happen.

 

Regardless of it being possible, it wouldn't happen.
Having an arena without kits would undermine the whole reason why people buy kits in the first place.
People buy them to get an edge over players without kits, but said players would just go to the kit-less arena, then there would be no edge.

All these "change sg kits" posts portray kits as overly OP, and as soon as you get a kit you are practically invincible. This is not the case. I have killed kit users numerous times with just some decent armor and a stone/iron sword. I don't feel that they are as OP as every makes them out to be. I have also paid good money for the use of my kit, and would be very upset if this were taken away.

 

Just save up $15USD or $75kECD and get one.

 

I tell this over and over to people. If you don't like it, don't play it. If you cant make money off it, don't play it.

Also, I always wonder why 'kit haters' don't buy the 'OP' kits themselves. Cant afford it with your own money? Buy it with ecd. They pay for themselves fast. Don't have a big balance? Don't want to spend ur ecd on kits? Don't want to use ur irl money on kits? Then don't complain and don't play. Its very simple.

Sorry if this is offending to anyone, its just very frustrating that people wna tkits gone. And also, you kit hater extremests, stop telling me all the rude, ugly things you tell me. Thanks! :)

They really arn't that op.. Cc does less then and iron sword but the fire does more damage overall with the fire, not by much. Miq is basically a knockback I diamond sword. The only thing that is op is buffer. It needs to raise in price alot.
