Minecraft Name: Aviato Suggestion: Add a new staff rank called Trainee, it would be designated to new staff members so they don't get heat for making mistakes on the server since they are still learning the ropes of moderating. It could only be a temporary thing and staff members can be relegated to moderator status if they think that they've gotten the hang of things. Reason: Just a thought I had since new staff members may not make the fairest decisions, or approach situations like a more seasoned staff member would. Any Other Information: Not really aside from the fact that the "Trainee" tag would let players know that the staff member is still learning. This would only apply to NEW staff members; not players that were previously a staff member, but then decided to rejoin the team. Link To This Plugin: N/A
Umm, I think our system is just fine how it is. A "Trainee" title would practically remove the authoritative feel that Moderators have. Sorry, but -1.
I'm not really sure how this would change things at all, besides what chargerboltz has said. Even when staff are new they are still just as much a member of the team as anyone else. When staff make a decision that is unpopular or is disagreed with they are going to get heat, being marked as new is not going to change things. It may just get cause their decision to get more heat.
-1, There are so many people who would kill for the moderator rank. The current mods will surely have people to pick from all the people who apply that have either already been on the staff team, or already know the rules back to front.
I am happy with how the current Moderator rank works, and don't really feel like this is necessary. It will just risk opening up Trainees' decisions to be questioned. Denied.
