I suggested this a while back, a couple people loved the idea but the idea never got popular. Hopefully they will add it +1

This is a fabulous idea. From the perspective of the primary owner of a 15-town city where seven of the towns are owned by others. My giant town farm, which I share with many of the suburbs voluntarily, is accessed from a portal in my main square. There is also a warp there for our mall. If each of the suburbs could link a sign to the warp, they could have easier access to the town farm, since we can't do portals.

We've gone so far as to have me place a portal in one of my own towns, but right up against the border of one of the suburbs, facing into it. This would be a much better solution.

 

If I'm understanding the general concept of this idea, I think this would be really useful. It'd create more of an interest for users to purchase spawn shops because it'd bring a greater crowd with the ease of transportation. Plus, this is very similar to the Town-Exclusive Portal application so I see no negatives.

I'm building a giant, pointless, difficult labyrinth ... this could dramatically increase the painfulness of it. :)

 

Didn't they accept this idea and we're working on implementing a application for it?
