So, I never play SG. I wouldn't even know how. So I don't have a personal stake in the constant debeting over kits/no kits. It sounds like the debate is But Kits Help Me Win and I Paid For Them vs. But They Suck For Everyone With No Money.
So why not solve both problems? Have periodic no-kit SG tournaments where the prize for winning the tournament is a kit?
Don't hold them too often, because that wouldn't be fair to players who did spend the money on kits -- but do it often enough for players with no kits to have a chance at winning something, and for them to gradually get some?
I have no idea if this would work, because when it comes to SG, I know about as much as I know about rocket science. Just a thought.

Cool idea! -
+1 doesn't sound too outrageous to me...Andrew has given out coupons etc to crazy lotto winners on occasions in the past, so why not... :b

This has happened somewhat in the past when Andrew gets bored (i.e. "Winner of SG_ gets a ___ USD coupon!"). I personally love this idea, however, and would love to see it more! (About the same frequency as boss battles perhaps?)

I generally like this idea.
Something I'd wonder about though...if I understood it correctly, it was once said that even phys can't influence a game to be kit or no-kit. So theoretically KH's 1/8 chance would need to be temporary deactivated and the whole kit permissions, too. SO much work for one game, and it would probably even require a restart to apply the new configurations?
I have mixed feelings about it. :/-
