Right now the rules for the auction channel and usage of the auction plugin are as so: Spoiler Clause 5 - Auction Channel & Automated Auction System You may only use the Automated Auction System to auction items. This means that you are not allowed to auction items using the auction chat channel manually. The [Auc] chat channel is only to be used for discussing current auctions. Normal chat rules still apply. You are not allowed to abuse the Automated Auction System. This includes but is not limited to troll auctions and any other auctions deemed inappropriate by Staff. Examples of such auctions are: Multiple auctions for 1 dirt Auctions with unrealistic start prices/increments You may not repeat unsuccessful auctions numerous times with the same variables. This will be considered spamming/abusing the auction system. You are allowed to announce auctions in the trade channel if you are planning on auctioning in the very immediate future. (Only 1 trade message per any auction, do not repeat yourself in /ch trade). One of the key parts of that is You are not allowed to abuse the Automated Auction System. This includes but is not limited to troll auctions and any other auctions deemed inappropriate by Staff. Examples of such auctions are: Multiple auctions for 1 dirt Auctions with unrealistic start prices/increments This is something I believe should be implemented into the Trade Chat rules, it's quite minor, but we don't really need all these silly trade messages such as 'Selling a stick, 100k!' or 'selling dirt 1 million' (Two trade messages from today). It is quite minor but if it's a rule for auctioning, then I believe it should be for Trade Chat also, to make the rules consistent. All it requires is a simple extra sentence in the rules.
Yea but.. you're talking about the auction plugin. Trade and Auction are two different things are they not?
He's saying that we should apply the same kind of anti-trolling rules we have for auction to trade chat.
I don't see why this is needed. It's one thing with the auction when you're clogging it up with troll/useless auctions, but it doesnt really hurt anyone to have a little fun in the trade chat.
Trade chat shold be used for proper trade messages, not to muck about. If you want to do this, go use your not for staff party chat. As for this suggestion, +1 I see no reason why we shouldn't implement this
Illuminati confirmed. On topic, +1 to the suggestion. Keep trade chat for serious selling/buying ads, not million dollar dirt crap.
