SG has been busy lately so many people have been standing around the signs. It is difficult to read the signs and click "join game" so I suggest a "no-stand" zone should be added.
This zone will be a 1-block wide area in front of the signs that denies people the access to enter that area. If a player walks into the marked off area they will simply be knocked back just a bit (exactly what SG does before the game on the pedestals). This will prevent people from crowing the boards and will allow easy access to the signs.
I'm pretty sure this can be done with the standard world-edit plugin, which we have, and can be done easily.

It would be equally easy to add a nice message when attempting to walk there so new players actually know why they can't stand there.

The no-edge zone will keep people a block away from signs, so the signs are still clickable.
A combination of the two can work. But the no-edge zone would have to be 1.5 blocks thick or something, and fences 2 blocks away from the signs.-

Good idea, but the problem I see with this is people will still just stand right next to the zone. I don't think it'll really make a difference.
But I feel a combo of the two would work, except people w/ fly and /j (that's a lot of people) make fences useless. -
Yes, of course people could still stand against the nostand zone. However, having a block or so of free space would potentially allow people to see the signs better. If you do not have fly you could just jump and click, and if you do have fly just fly above to take a peak.
The nostand zone wouldn't be a perfect solution, as there are never perfect solutions to anything; it would make a positive difference though.
