Suggestion: I think you should some how be able to lock some money or some how make some of your money non-spend able. A few things that came to my mind could be like some thing you buy from server shop (the star, exp, food shops idk what they are called) for lets say $5 each and then you can use /sell hand and sell it for $5 each.
Reason: So you don't go spend all of your money, all though it would not stop you it would make you think about it first.

If you don't wanna spend the money, don't. Most people, if they wanna save money, will put it in a trade sign and keep it there until they need it, in which they will break it. I myself see no need for other methods. Or they do what Dcc sajd above

It's true that trade signs are not recommended to store money, but in my 2.5 years on the server I have yet to encounter a glitch with them which makes the money inside disappear. It's still a risk, which is why there is a disclaimer on my thread. (Sort URL: www.tinyurl.com/oyster-max)

There will always be a risk, your /bal could be reset, trade signs could be removed, and I'm sure what your suggesting there would still be a risk, despite the odds of it happening. The odds of a trade sign being removed/glitch is very unlikely, same with your bal. unless it goes with the rules where you're being evicted or your offline for like 2 weeks. And if you get a town of your own you can never be evicted (within 6 months) and your sign will remain there forever.

trade signs for storing money are NOT recommended and it would also help other players out side me (I.E. lottoers, ppl who dont keep track of there money [me], and so on).

The reason I don't think this will be added is because the staff *want* you to spend you money and get money *out* of the economy, not keep it in. Why would they add something to make it so it is impossible to get out of the economy? It doesn't make sense. If you don't want the funds in your bal, I would just recommend storing money in a sign.
Unfortunately, as a ServerAdmin I had encountered many times where the money in trade signs was lost. Usually it is via the bug where your sign is placed on a wall that is in a different chunk. It happens, though it is very rare and fairly easy to prevent.
