Suggestion: Move absent threads to Off-topic OR Treat them as good-bye threads.
Reason: Recently inactivity notifications threads have became very popular. What i'm suggesting is that these threads are either moved to our Off-topic section, or locked and considered a good-bye thread. There's much more appropriate ways to notify people that you're going to be absent. We have forum pm's, profile walls, and mail in-game, threads aren't needed.
Any Other Information: I got this suggestion off of a counter argument I made for this thread.

Profile walls? Lol? Who ever checks those? XD
Mail in-game is all fine and well, but all those other people that I forgot to tag, ect, they'd never know.
Not that I'm saying your suggestion is bad, but we should remove them to Off-topic, but definitely shouldn't call them Good bye threads. They aren't good bye threads.-
