Thread Title: People modifying what particles look like in-game.

    Minecraft Name: Officialminer

Suggestion: People should not be allowed to modify what particles look like for their advantage.

Reason: People modifying particles in an SG game basically ruins the Spy kit. There are different colors you can make them so that you can see where people are running around or where people with Spy are sitting.

Other Information: The main reason I made this suggestion is because I am always frustrated as to how people can see where I am moving in an SG game while I am invisible. I tend to ask people how they see where I am moving and they generally say, "Particles, bro." However, some people (not naming names) have actually told me that they can change the color of particles to see where people are that use Spy. I am very frustrated by this and I am interested to see what the community thinks.

    Thanks guys!

How would this be enforced exactly?

Some texturepacks do this to a certain extent, I used this one for a bit:

Ignore the dumb brat talking, just look at the particle effects at around 0:40

My point is, legit texturepacks may do this just for aesthetic purposes, why would we ban that?

It's pretty easy to see spies with the default texture pack tbh. Sure not as easy as with these pvp packs, but stil easy enough.

Isnt texture packs etc up to the user? Also, how exactly could staff enforce this? It would be insanely hard

Thank you all for your responses and for taking the time to read my suggestion. I know I left out some parts like, "How can this be enforced?", but I will take this all in for future suggestions! :D

The only enforcement possible would be when people get themselves in trouble by posting screenshots or videos that incriminate themselves. Or when someone admits to it.

I think it is cheating to change your particles like that, but there isn't much to be done. Another area where minecraft wasn't designed so well.

To be honest, I use it. It helps a lot. You can make them dark black and big squares. This would be customized, quite rare to find in a resource pack. Lots of people use this. Again this can't be enforced. I think it is a little funny how people try to bend the rules so much that they become so creative to make big black square particles.

I see your point but there would be no way to enforce this at all.

I remember suggesting this exact same, and reading the responses people are putting up the exact same responces. The main problem is enforcement if u can find a way to answer that you will have an argument until then this won't be considered. I personally I said you don't need to constantly enforce it. If a player files a complaint on another user for SG hacking the perp can no longer claim it was pixel modification. That is the only way i can see enforcement of this. Its viable but as I was told "Its to much work" Its just a matter of enforcement.
